First UMC Sachse is partnering with Northplace Church

in our area as a distribution site for Angel Food Ministries.
Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non denominational
organization dedicated to providing food relief to
 communities throughout the USA.

Providing quality, nutritious food at significant discounts on a
regular basis is one practical way to give people a “hand up” during
difficult times.  The cost for a box of Angel Food is $30, the average
retail value for the same food items would be approximately $65.
Generally, one box of Angel Food assists in feeding a family of four
for about one week or a single senior citizen for almost a month.
There is no purchase limit for boxes of Angel Food and
there are no applications or qualifications
necessary to purchase
.

Each month's menu is different and consists of fresh, frozen
and packaged food.  Angel Food is purchased from the nation’s
top food suppliers, and are high quality foods, never "seconds"
or "day old type" products.  View the current menu at:
www.angelfoodministries.com or click the picture above.

Upcoming deadline's for ordering online are:

September
Order deadline: Sunday, September 19th
Distribution Day: Saturday, September 25th
(pick-up at First UMC Sachse)

We invite anyone to take a look at this website and order

wonderful ministry.  If you have any questions, please

Labors for Neighbors is a mission initiative, started in response
to the extensive damange caused to the Texas Gulf Coast as a
result of multiple hurricanes from 2005 -2008.  Since 2006, LFN
has continued to assist families whose properties are still devastated
by those multiple storms.

Future dates and trips are in the works!

The Walk to Emmaus is a spiritual renewal program intended to strengthen the local church through the development of Christian disciples and leaders.  The Walk to Emmaus begins with a 72-hour experience of God's grace for you in new and unique ways.  The three-day Emmaus experience and follow-up groups strengthen and renew Christian people as disciples of Jesus Christ, and as active members of the body of Christ in mission to the world.
