Recovery & Support
Alcoholics Anonymous

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. Alcoholics Anonymous group meets every Wednesday evening at 6:30pm in the Jeannie White Classroom of the main church building.

Domestic Violence Awareness Ministry

Statistics indicate that one in four women and one in seven men will experience domestic violence during their lifetime. Many are reluctant to seek help because of the fear and shame involved with being abused by someone they love. In March 2014 First United Methodist Church Sachse hosted a guest speaker from Hope's Door, a domestic violence shelter and counseling center in Collin County.

Everyone who utilizes the church's facilities for worship, sports, scouting, and other activities now has access to resources guiding them to helping agencies, and the church is discerning how to proceed in this area of ministry.
